Where is Shammas Bureau Tax located?
Our office is at 421 W Douglas Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020. We are a local, family-run tax bureau you can walk into.
What are your office hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The office is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome during office hours. If you would rather have a set time to sit down with us, call (619) 579-7689 to book a consultation.

What services do you offer?
We offer individual tax preparation, business and corporate tax, IRS representation, bookkeeping, payroll services, public notary, document translations, and help with forms and applications. See all services.
Do you prepare individual and family tax returns?
Yes. Individual tax preparation is our most requested service. Ayad Shammas handles individual returns personally and sits down with each client to make sure every detail is covered.
Do you handle business and corporate taxes?
Yes. We provide tax planning and filing for small to medium businesses. Alfred and Andre Shammas work with our business and corporate clients, from entity setup through year-end filing.
Can you help me deal with the IRS?
Yes. We offer IRS representation, advocating on your behalf in your dealings with the IRS.
Do you offer bookkeeping and payroll?
Yes. Our bookkeeping keeps an accurate picture of your business finances year-round, and our payroll service makes sure your team is paid accurately and on time.
Do you offer notary services?
Yes. We provide public notary services for personal and business documents.
Can you translate official documents?
Yes. We translate official documents, and our notary, translation and forms work is available in English, Arabic and Spanish.
Can you help with government forms and applications?
Yes. We guide you through complex forms and applications so they are filled out correctly the first time.

Who runs Shammas Bureau Tax?
Shammas Bureau Tax is run by three brothers: Alfred, Andre and Ayad Shammas. It is a family business rooted in El Cajon, with one office and the same people on the phone every year.
Who will handle my return?
One of the brothers, personally. Ayad Shammas handles individual returns, notary work, translations and forms. Alfred and Andre Shammas handle business and corporate tax. Every return is reviewed before it is filed.
How do I get started?
Call (619) 579-7689, walk in during office hours, or start your return online in the client portal.
What is the client portal?
The Shammas Bureau Tax client portal is where clients securely upload their documents and start their return online.
How should I send sensitive documents?
Please do not email Social Security numbers, bank or card details, or tax documents. Upload them securely through the client portal or bring them to the office.
